RESUMO
O presente artigo pretende analisar as tramas que contribuíram para a construção da entidade máxima do futebol mineiro, as Ligas Mineiras de futebol, no período de 1904 a 1933. Entendo que a história social de Belo Horizonte e os diferentes indícios encontrados na imprensa no período analisado demonstram a importância das entidades que regulavam o esporte em questão, num contexto de muitas disputas entre pessoas e instituições que pertenciam ao campo esportivo na cidade. As fontes consultadas foram os jornais disponíveis na capital mineira no período em questão, e que possibilitaram através da análise seriada dos documentos construir uma narrativa das experiências das pessoas que se envolviam no cenário futebolístico de Belo Horizonte nas primeiras décadas do século XX.
This article intends to analyze the plots that contributed to the construction of the maximum entity of Minas Gerais football, the Minas Gerais football leagues, in the period from 1904 to 1933. I understand that the social history of Belo Horizonte and the different signs found in the press in the analyzed period demonstrate the importance of the entities that regulated the sport in question, in a context of many disputes between people and institutions that belonged to the sports field in the city. The sources consulted were the newspapers available in the capital of Minas Gerais in the period in question, which made it possible, through the serial analysis of the documents, to build a narrative of the experiences of people who were involved in the football scene in Belo Horizonte in the first decades of the 20th century.

No presente trabalho analisaremos em perspectiva comparada o Palestra Itália, fundado em São Paulo em 1914, que após 1942 passou a chamar-se Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, com o Palestra Itália de Belo Horizonte, que iniciou suas atividades em 1921 e após 1942 transformou-se em Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. Nosso objetivo central será analisar comparativamente o processo de afirmação dos dois times, buscando compreender qual a importância do futebol, no processo de inserção e pertencimento dos italianos nas duas capitais mencionadas, e qual a contribuição dos Palestras para sedimentar a noção de identidade italiana, entre os membros da colônia, no período de 1914 à 1933.
In this paper we are going to analyze in comparative perspective, the Palestra Italia, founded in São Paulo in 1914, which after 1942 became known Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, with the Palestra Italia in Belo Horizonte, which began its activities in 1921 and after 1942 became Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. Our main objective is to comparatively analyze the process of affirmation of the two teams, trying to understand how important soccer is in the process of inclusion and belonging of the Italians in the two aforementioned capitals, and the contribution of both Palestra teams to settle the notion of Italian identity, and members of the colony, in the period 1914 to 1933.

O objetivo central deste artigo é compreender o futebol nas suas múltiplas expressões em Belo Horizonte nas décadas de 1920 e 1930, quando com o advento do profissionalismo, essa modalidade esportiva se organizou de outras formas, e os jogadores que se destacavam passaram a receber vantagens e incentivos financeiros para jogar. É importante também entender como a diversão, a partir do futebol, acontecia em Belo Horizonte, quais as representações presentes nas décadas de 1920 e 1930 e como a transição do amadorismo para o profissionalismo impactou as experiências dos diversos sujeitos envolvidos com esse esporte.
The central goal of this article is to understand football in its multiple expressions in Belo Horizonte in the 1920?s and 1930?s, when the coming of the professionalism, this sporting modality has organized itself in other ways and the players who excelled started getting advantages and financial incentives to play. It is also important to understand on how diversion from football happened in Belo Horizonte, which representations were presented in 1920?s and 1930?s and how the transitions from amateurism to professionalism caused impacts no the experience of several individuals involved in this sport.
